City of Laurinburg Proposed Budget

FY 2017-2018

Notice is hereby given that the proposed 2017-2018 budget for the City of Laurinburg has been presented to the City Council and is available for public inspection in the City Clerk’s office at the W. Charles Barrett Administrative Building, 305 West Church St. until Friday, June 9, 2017, and then at the City Administrative Building located at 203 Atkinson St.

There will be a public hearing on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 303 W. Church Street, Laurinburg, NC on the proposed FY 2017-2018 budget. 


ELECTRIC RATE STRUCTURE CHANGE

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to N.C. General Statute 159B-16.1, that the Laurinburg City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 303 W. Church Street, Laurinburg.  The purpose of the public hearing is to hear the views of the public on a recommended Electric Rate Structure change which will simplify the rate structure resulting in a reduction in the number of electric rates from 23 to 11 and also on a recommended reduction in the overall electric rate level by approximately 3.21%.

AMEND UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Laurinburg will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th day of June, 2017 in the council room of the Municipal Building located at 303 West Church St., Laurinburg, NC to consider the following:

  • Consider Amending Article 6 Zoning Districts, Section 6.5 Table of Uses and Article 7 Supplemental Regulations of the Unified Development Ordinance.

The full text of the proposed amendment above can be obtained from the City Clerk.  Substantial changes in the proposed amendment may be made following the public hearing.
